Mat & Chat encourages parents/carers to pursue at least a consultation with a speech pathologist if you have any concerns at all. Get in contact and we can talk through some of your concerns during our initial complimentary phone call and direct you towards some helpful resources.
Mat & Chat is aware of the high demand for allied health services on the Sunshine Coast and across Australia. We are doing our best to work through our waitlists and support families as quickly, effectively and efficiently as possible. Mat & Chat is a paediatric speech therapy clinic that focuses predominantly on ages 0-7 years. Adults seeking a service will be better catered to and looked after by speech therapists more experienced in treating adults.
Mat & Chat offers 45 minute and 60 minute sessions however the length of your sessions will differ depending on the situation. Our first few sessions may be a little longer while we gather information and complete assessments etc. We will decide in collaboration with you on the best frequency and length of sessions to suit your situation and needs.
It is part of Mat & Chat's ethos and preference that parents are as involved in sessions as possible. The more you interact in therapy, the more engaged your child is likely to be and the more carry-over to home practice may occur.

We understand that it is not always possible to arrange care for your other children. We will do our best to engage your child when siblings are present and include them in the therapy, where possible.
Mat & Chat predominantly focuses on 0-7 years of age. The Mat & Chat team are more experienced with this age group and are passionate about making an impact in these early years.
Fees start at $193.99 for a 45 minute session. This fee is in accordance with the fees set by the National Disability Insurance Agency. Please see our 'Services and Fees' tab for more information.
Mat & Chat is able to support clients that are Plan Managed and Self Managed. As Mat & Chat is not an NDIS registered provider, we are not able to support Agency Managed clients. Please see our 'Services and Fees' tab for more information.
